Connecting to mainframes

Hi,

11.3 version does not support mainframe job. What is the way to connect to mainframes using datastage 11.3

what unit of work do you want to do on the mainframe. A simple DB2 extract or did you want to transform the data on the Mainframe?

Mainframe jobs never did connect to mainframes.

Rather, DataStage mainframe edition acted as a code generator, creating COBOL code and JCL to compile and to run that code. These all had to be shipped across to the mainframe and the JCL executed.
