Checksum stage algorithm

Hi,

Does anyone know what is the checksum algorithm used by the checksum stage in datastage?

I don't see anything in the documentation that calls that out. What does it output as the 'checksum' - a string or a number? If it is the former then I'd assume it is an MD5 hash, for the latter I'd assume a CRC32 value.

It is returning alphanumeric values. So, can we take it as MD5?

32 characters? If so then yes, best assumption would be MD5. If it's important to know for certain, ask your official support provider... then let us know!
