Does Datastage 9.1 support Oracle 8 database. Where can we find such information ? I glanced through few documents, but was not able to find the required information.

The Oracle 11g client also doesn't support 8 anymore. Since that is an ancient release, probably time to upgrade...

The XMETA database requirement only shows support for 11g (they dropped 10g) and usually that means the product won't support anything else as a client.
However, it can be verified by calling your service provider. Since Oracle 8 initially shipped back in 1997, I still say time to get on a database made this century...
