Surrogate Key Stage Error

hi my job is straight forward one generating a surrogate key using dtabse sequence in oralce ..job looks like this source is oracle connector with 3 columns and surrogate Key generator and target is sequential file ..i am getting this following error ..

SK_GEN: Caught exception from runLocally(): APT_ParseError: Expected "," or "}", got: "[", line 1
Expected "," or "}", got: "*", line 1.

i am using proxy connection to the dtabase(oracle)..and my password includes a '*'
please help me
