DB2 Stage configuration in Infosphere 8.1 Windows Edition

Hi

I am working on Infosphere 8.1 at Windows Platform .
I have setup APT_DB2_INSTANCE Environment variable but still i am unable to connect to DB2 .

I couldn't find detailed step to configure DB2 at Windows platform .
Please help to resolve the issue .

Hi Shalini,

You need to install db2 CLient on the Datastage Server. Have you done this?

If you have the db2 client installed, are you able to connect to db2 database via Command Prompt? Remember you need to catalog your remote db2 Database on your Datastage Server for the connection to work

Talk to your dba please, if none of the above make sense to you

Have you read the DataStage DB2 Connectivity Guide ?

I have gone through Db2 connectivity guide but couldn't find anything for Windows edition Datastage .

I am able to connect through command prompt .Db2 is installed on same server as of datastage .Do I still need to catalog Db2 ?
