Compatibility between DS 8.5 and MDM 8

Hi -

I am generating XML files using DS 8.5 jobs on unix environment.
These XML files on unix are transferred to MDM unix server and MDM should process these files.
Just wanted to know by any chance we will have any compatibility issues between DS 8.5 and MDM 8 versions.

They should be fully compatible, QualityStage 8.5 was often bundled with MDM Server 8 for data loads. I would recommend the newer 8.5 XML assembly stage over the XML output stage for complex structures or large volumes. The only compatibility you need to worry about is whether the XML format is valid. Not sure why you are transferring XML files - can you use HTTP to write data from DataStage straight to MDM Server? Do you have Services Director?

I am not sure the compatibility rules but I remember the latest version MDM required DS8.5 because we just upgraded everything. So there maybe an issue there.
