Teradata Connector error

Post by vasubabu »

Hi,

I am not able to connect the terdata through Teradata connector stage.
and not able to import the metadata for teradata from Plugin as well.

I am getting the fallowing errors as
1.When connecting through teradta connector stage "error loading connector library cctera.dll.The specified module could not be found".
2.when importing through the plug in "Unable to initialise the plg in"

But i am able to connect thriugh ODBC and able to imprt the metadata using DSN.

do i need to set any properties to import through plug in and to connect through teradata connector stage?
Please share your thaughts on this.

Your jobs can't see the connector library cctera.dll (which is not used by the ODBC driver). You need to find this library and make sure that its parent directory is included in the shared library search path of the user that executes DataStage jobs.

Did your Teradata DBA install the Teradata tools / drivers on your server?

... sometimes referred to as the Teradata Utilities Foundation (TUF). Check your DataStage manuals (Connectivity Guide for Teradata) for current naming.

Hi Ray,
Thanks for the reply.

I can see this cctera.dll file in two places under this paths
1. "C:\IBM\InformationServer\Server\DSComponents\bin"
2."C:\IBM\InformationServer\Server\StagingArea\Installed\TeradataConnector\Server\windows"

Are these the correct paths for this file or do i need to place this file in some other directory.
Please advice me.

We are also getting the same error message. Is there any resolution to this issue?

Hi there,

I'm running under PX 8.7 and I'm facing the same error message:
"Error loading connector library cctera.dll.The specified module could not be found".

Could you help to fix this issue

I can see this cctera.dll file in two places under this paths
1. "C:\IBM\InformationServer\Server\DSComponents\bin"
2."C:\IBM\InformationServer\Server\StagingArea\Installed\TeradataConnector\Server\windows"

The stage Teradata exists in the palette

What do you suggest to do ?

Thanks in advance for your help guys
