delete job from director,but still there in designer

delete job from director,but still there in designer

I have deleted one job from director. But it is there in designer. can't be it deleted from the repository if we delete from the director. I am able to open the job from designer. but when i tried to take the copy ,throwing error "can't create copy. can't find the job". it's funny. Please provide help

It seems that particular job got corrupted in your repositary.

Have you closed and reopened the designer ?

If that job is still there in the designer, then query the DS_OBJECTS in administrator.

i think REINDEX may help you in this case.

Not necessarily any more, 8.x stores that information in two places. Best to involve your official support provider, get their help to sync things back up again.

What are those two places?

i guess one is XMETA file.

Yes, one is the XMETA database. The other is the legacy "Universe" repository that you suggested might need to be reindexed.
