What is a node and node pools?

Post by fernandodrg »

Hi,
i'm new to DS. Now i'm studying for certification 000-421.
I already have experience with other ETL tools and already have some knowledge the DataStage Designer tool, but I'm not sure about the concepts of parallelism, perhaps.

What is a knot?
What is a nodepool?

A knot is one nautical mile per hour.

I have not encountered the term in more than 12 years' experience with DataStage.
