Datastage Enterprise edition 8.0.1 compatibilty with Exadata

Post by dra1 »

Hello All,

We are planning for a migration of DS 7.5.2 to 8.0.1 and also planning to go for appliances oracle exadata, how is the compatibilty of DS 8.0.1 with Exadata as well as with oracle 11g

What are all the common problems expected during this migration

Installation Server: UNIX AIX

From DS 7.5.2
To DS 8.0.1

Thanks in advance

Can't speak to the Exadata question, but don't bother with the 8.0.x release. If 8.5 is available for your platform, go for that, else the latest 8.1.x release.

Regarding exadata, you should treat it as a normal Oracle 11gR2 DB. It works fine with me on 7.5.3 (on solaris) with 10g client after applying an oracle library patch.

Version 8.5 is available for AIX.
