Is it safe to delete Patch.ispkg file from location

/opt/IBM/InformationServer/Updates/8.1.FixPack.1
/opt/IBM/InformationServer/Updates/IFT_ALL_812

after installing patch successfully on server side to release space on server.

version.xml file ..

Code: Select all

<Sequence description="Information Server 8.1.0.0 Fix Pack 1" id="18" installLocation="" lastUpdateDate="Wed Apr 14 16:31:33 CDT 2010" patch="8.1.FixPack.1" rollback="/opt/IBM/InformationServer/Updates/8.1.FixPack.1" status="Success" version="8.1.0.1"/>
    <Sequence description="Upgrade IFT tools 81 or 811 to 812. RC5/GA" id="19" installLocation="" lastUpdateDate="Wed Apr 14 17:06:21 CDT 2010" patch="patch_JR34533_xmeta_all_8100" rollback="/opt/IBM/InformationServer/Updates/IFT_ALL_812" status="Success" version="8.1.0.1"/>
    <Sequence description="Upgrade IFT tools 81 or 811 to 812. RC5/GA" id="20" installLocation="" lastUpdateDate="Wed Apr 14 17:06:21 CDT 2010" patch="IFT_ALL_812" rollback="/opt/IBM/InformationServer/Updates/IFT_ALL_812" status="Success" version="8.1.0.1"/>

Once the patch has been successfully installed, it is safe to delete its .ispkg file. Better would be to move it to secondary or tertiary storage (e.g. a DVD) in case you need to rebuild your system.
