EE 8.5 under VMWare

Post by daignault »

I know 8.5 is in it's infancy, but anyone tried implementing 8.5/SUSE under VMware?

IBM used to have a link about VMware support for 8.1 but it appears that link is now gone.

Thanks in advance,

I suspect the usual caveats about support will continue to apply, but it does work OK. Some of the machines in the Demo Room at IOD 2010 were running 8.5 on VMware images.

I have installed 8.5/Red Hat under VMware.

Note that it appears that 8.5 requires a 64-bit linux OS.

I successfully installed IIS 8.5 on XP Pro VM and WinServer 2003 VM. I am going to try it out on SuSE VM next.. Will update you guys accordingly.
