Error in OCI stage

Post by vasubabu »

Hi ,

I am getting the fallowing error when tryin to view the date from OCI enterprise stage.

"ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested".

But i am able to connect with ODBC stage ,can import the meta data from Plug-in as well.

When using the OCI stage only i am getting the above error.
Can anybody help on this to resolve.

Have you used any of the native Oracle stages yet? They are configured in a different manner than ODBC. Do you have an Oracle client installed on your DataStage server?

Have you checked you have the tnsnames.ora file configured correctly on the Datastage server. Are you able to tnsping your database from the Datastage server?

evee1, why don't you start your own post and tell us the details of your particular issue?

I think I will. I just didn't want to double up posts.
I managed to fix THIS problem, but I'm having another one :-(. So see you in the other post.
