Sending email to different domain

Post by srini.dw »

Hi,

A scenario

I work for company Switch, my client is Master.

Notification Activity Stage

SMTP Mail server name is blank.
Sender email address is DataSTage@Master.com
Recipients email address is ABC@Master.com

Above works fine, i do get a email, no issue.

But when I say, Recipients email address is XYZ@Switch.com, i do not get any emails.

In the Director log it says
Sent message to 'XYZ@Switch.com'
but i do not get any emails.

Any idea or suggestion please.

Thank you,

Allow the mail to go through the gateway on your internal mail server.

In general there shouldn't be a problem doing what you are doing, check with your SysAdmin re: their sendmail configuration and see if there is an issue there.

No, you don't, they'll know all about it as it has nothing to do with DataStage and it's all in their home court.
