Multi-Client Manager, not allowing addition of old DS versio

Post by chrisponty »

Hi,

I have just had v8.1 installed on my laptop, and since installation I cannot load up 7.1 designer/director etc.

I have the multi-client manager, but I understand on 8.0 there was a browse button on the app, to allow the addition of the second version of DS on the same machine.

My query is, how do I add v7.1 into the multiclient manager, or is there some other way of loading the 7.1 software?

The reason for the 2 versions, we are migrating from 7.1 to 8.1 and currently need both versions for the time being.

Any assistance, would be great thanks

chris

Hi Chris,

Try installing "rollup_RU1_MCM_windows_81" and/or JR32003.

Actually JR32003 will work for 7.5.3. Not sure about 7.1.

Missed out a little thing.

JR32003 is a part of Fix Pack 1 itself.

So it is better to install the FP1 completely. :)

Thanks for that, though unfortunately I have been told that we cannot have FP1 installed. Might have to see if just that patch can be installed on its own.

thanks for the info
