Can someone please tell me how datastage interprets the following.

link.col1 = 5
link.col1 = '5'
link.col1 = "5"

link.col1 = 5 -- Integer comparison
link.col1 = '5' or link.col1 = "5" -- String comparison

Depends on the data type of link.col1
