Hi all,

all users are getting below error when tried to login into datastage designer.

Please let me know the reasons for this issue. Appreciate your help.

Check whether WAS is running.

could you please elaborate what is WAS process ? The good thing is the server is up now ,issue resolved.

Still like to know the reason behind that.

WAS = WebSphere Application Server, the mechanism that exposes the common services used by products in the Information Server suite, including the login/security service and the directory service which are used during the login/authentication process. If WAS had been shut down temporarily, perhaps for maintenance, then all users would see the symptom you described during that shutdown period.
