what is the action of "stage the data"

Post by hailun »

I saw one datastage question,
and it is "The jobs in which data is read directly from OCI stages are running extremely slow. I had to stage the data before sending to the transformer to make the jobs run faster."

I'm not clear what's the meaning or action of "stage the data" marked in red. thanks for anyone could explain it to me. thanks in advance !

I'm assuming the 'question' was here rather than in an interview, so... I would think by "stage" they meant "land", to me that would be a more appropriate word.

Thanks chulett.

But could you or anyone know why the data need to "land" before sending to the transformer in this case,so that it can make job run faster.

Why not ask whomever wrote that? Get their reason for saying that. Where did you see it here?
