DS 8.1 Installation while 7.5 runing on Same Box

Hi experts,

My manager asking me install DS8.1 in the same unix box where currently running DS7.5 for DEV env. there is no Partation in this server.

is it possible to install 2 versions of Datastage (7.5 , 8.1) installation.

i think while installing 8.1 it will overwrite 7.5 version. becase we are installing in same server (there is no Partation).

can you plz suggest me how can i proceed 8.1 installation.

You can, and how you do that is discussed in the Planning, Installation and Configuration Guide pdf that ships with 8.

And maybe you can't. Version 8 must have the default itag so, if your version 7 server is using the default itag, you will need to reinstall that first with a non-default itag.
