Hi,
Can you please tell me where will i find config.apt? actually i have searched in the paths that are mentioned in apt_orchhome and apt_config_file. i found a file called operator.apt instead. And the contenets of the files are as follows:
------------------------------
# cat operator.apt
any orch 1
any_coll orch 1
entire orch 1
fsdelete orch 1
lookup_process orch 1
ordered orch 1 ...
-------------------------------
is this the correct file? i am not able to use the orchadmin command and have no idea as to how should i set apt_orchhome and apt_config_file parameters for that project.
regards,

There is a directory "Configurations" which usually contains the .apt files. It is located at $DSHOME/../Configurations.

Dataset Deletion
You can perform the delete operation from UNIX only if you have the priviledge for it.
But you can also delete it with the help of datastage.
You follow the process below. It will be deleted.
TOOLS -> DATA SET MANAGEMENT
Here select your dataset which you want to delete. You can take the help of the drop down menu. Next click the delete (cross tab) option at the top. The dataset will be deleted. Try this and let me know if it works.
