I would say "Delete it from the Manager" but from what I understand that's gone in 8.x, so... "Delete it from the Designer Repository window".

Just save a dummy job inside the RENAMED folder and then check in director.

While you can delete individual jobs from the Director, you cannot delete folders from there. That needs to happen in the Manager or Designer.

Yes Craig. He told that he has renamed the folder in designer but he sees the old name in director. Actually, there is nothing to delete.

I guess if he saves a dummy job in the renamed folder, he will see the change reflected in director.

If the version of the datastage is after 8 then you need to apply a patch for that. either db2 or oracle repository. contact your vendor

It won't help, as the issue sounds like it's in the XMETA (relation database) repository, hence the need for a patch. Sounds like you should contact your official support provider.

Thanks Craig for the suggestion, just curious to know how it is related to database, I mean since we are dealing with datastage repository folders here
:?: ....not much familiar with XMETA.

All of the information that would have been strictly in the 'Universe' repository is now in the 'open' XMETA database repository as well (including folders AFAIK) and so most of the UV solutions we have from the 7.x world no longer work or may not be the complete solution. Especially if the two get out of sync. That's why I believe it's best to check with your support people and see where the problem lies and what the solution is. And then let us know.
