Hi,
when do we go for DATAESET STAGE and when do we go for FILESET STAGE,AND WHEN DO WE GO FOR SEQUENTIAL STAGE,i know what it is meant but in realtime how each is used.CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN IN DETAIL,THEY R VERY CONFUSING.

Read the documentation properly .Everything explained clearly .

Datastage : To store in internal format , performance is good .Not in human readable format .You have use dataset management utility or orchadmin to delete .

Fileset :when your OS is limiting the filesize you want to read or write this can be useful.Its in human readable format .

There is also the lookup fileset, which is similar to a dataset.
