powerdown the DS server

Post by dsedi »

All,

Please share your experiences about the "Procedure to power down" the DS server,(complete switch off) and what is the main information we need to save before power down it. ex: any config files etc..

Thanks in advance.

Nothing, really, pre-8. It's not like you would lose anything by shutting it down. Or are you asking about things you should archive before a permanent shutdown? :?

:? Depends on why it is being shutdown, I would think. The answer could range anywhere from 'nothing' to 'everything'. Backups of the engine and project directories, exports of all projects, supporting files (like scripts), landed data, etc etc - whatever you think you may ever have the slightest need to get back.
