Upgrading the SAP R/r PACKs

Hi all,

I have a requirement to develop some jobs (to read SAP data) in DS V7.5.1. But after some month down the line, I have to use these jobs in DS V8.0.
As per my knowledge, DS V8 will support only SAP PACk V6.0. If I simply import the DS V7.5 jobs (which uses Pack V5.2) to DS V8.0 will not serve the purpose.

I can think of 2 ways.
1) Upgrade the pack V5.2 to Pack 6.0 and develop jobs in DS V7.5. In this case is there any possibility for upgradtion to use in DS V7.5?

2) Build the jobs again in DS V8.0, if option1 does not work out

Please suggest me the best method or is there any other option?

I for one have no SAP experience, so my only thoughts would be to wonder what IBM / your official support provider had to say on the subject of SAP support in the various releases.
