I am creating a shared container which will write to an oracle table.
The oracle stage characteristics will be passed in as parameters in the usual way.
However, I notice that "encrypted" is not an option for shared container parameters which I want to use for the password.
Does anyone know why this is and what can be done about it?
Thanks,
Bob.

Yes, you cannot use the encrypted parameter in a shared container.
If you explain your requirement, you may get some way around of it.

Parameters being passed to shared containers have no external visibility so don't need to be encrypted.
