Server Installation on RHEL (linux)

Post by roceller »

Hi,

I was able to install Server 7.5.3 on my Windows Server 2003. But I have to switch to 7.5.x2 to make Parallel work. Everything is working now Server, Parallel... etc. And I can connect to the server remotely.

But I'm really a unix/linux type of person so I'm trying to install Server 7.5.3 on my RHEL (linux) to play with administration stuffs. But the server and parallel codes seems to be not working when it is working on WS2003.

Are these codes specific only on particular server type?

TIA.

Yes. Authorization codes are platform specific.

I was just thinking because opensolaris is basically solaris, which is free to download.

Do you HAVE Solaris auth codes ? As I said, they are platform (i.e. Operating System) specific.
