client is not licensed to run against the selected domain

In a VMWARE environment we have done a multiple tier installation of Information Server 8.1 (Datastage, Qualitystage, Information analyser) on a windows 2003 platform. We now have 4 tiers: Domain, DB2, Engine and Client (windows 2003 SP2). Installation went ok, logfiles contain no errors. Also a new project could be created using the administrator without errors.

But starting Datastage Designer on the client tier, I'll get the error:
"This client is not licensed to run against the selected domain."

Reinstalling the client or re-reading the license XML file did not help.
Who can help or give me a clue?

You need to open the Web console for Information Server and assign some DataStage credentials.

Thanks Ray, but this was already done and not the reason for this problem.

The XML license file seems not to be complete. We contacted IBM to get a new one, so this will soon be solved.
