Project Not found in Desginer

Post by RudreshEswarappa »

Hi,

Got a strange problem here. We were not able to log into the project as it said the username/Password are invalid. Then , on web console we chnaged the password for the username under 'user group' tab. Still the condition is the same.

The repository DB is already up and many files exists under the folder "IBM\...\Project\Project_Name". But we are not able to view it in Designer and we cannot log into the administrator using username-xmeta.

On the server though, we are able to log into the web console using username-xmeta.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

In the web console, under Administration -> Domain Management -> DataStage Credentials -> [your server] open configuration are you using share registry? if not, perhaps the userid and password combination given on the right-hand side of the screen is incorrect.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

We got there but it did not help.

We got to the datastage credentials and then chose our server. We are not using a shared registry. We tried changing the password of one of the usernames and then through Client aministrator/ designer tried logging in. It did not allow and threw the same invalid username/pasword[80011] error.

But one observation was that, while we tried logging in through the client, that user's session appeared as active in the active seesions tab of web console for a little while, though at the client did not allow us to log in.

I am not sure whether xmeta is the correct user name to use in any client. It is Metadata database owner and cannot think of why it is used to log into administrator.

Are you getting the same issue with dsadm id ?
