replacing DB2 enterprise stage with teradata enterprise stag

Hi

Iam involved in a mogration project where we are migrating from DB2 platform to Teradata platform.
So there are several jobs where the target stage is DB2 and they need to be changed to Teradata.

Is there any way that we can take export of job which contains DB2 stage and change the script to make it change to teradata.

I tried changing the DSX and i could add only teradata parameters to the job which were not present before.

Or else is there any way automise the jobs ?

From experience it takes prob less then 2 minutes to replace the db2 stage with a teradata stage and recompile , how many jobs do you have?

around 1500 jobs..........
anyways i dont think changing the dsx will be the feasible solution.
It is not possible. i've tried many ways but unsuccessful.

Well, according to John's figures you should be able to finish the whole lot in about 3000 minutes.

you can write your own ultility which can do this for you. thats what has been done in the project i am working on right now. :D

Perhaps you could outsource the work to hamzaqk's organization?

(I was going to use the term "offshore" until I realized that there is no sea between India and Pakistan!)

I believe that their organization will contract to do that work using their own intellectual property (if asked nicely, with a purchase order).

If you had just made the changes manually rather then looking for an 'easier' way, you probably would have been done by now.

The exercise would have been perfect for any new hires/grads looking for work experience. Or even students can do it given the right instructions. Chuck in 10 kids into it and you're done in a day. Pay them minimal wage
