job never ends

Post by kirankota79 »

I am running a datastage job against an oracle table which contains 9 rows.
Due to some reasons the job is never finishing and still showing as RUNNING in the director. Can you please let me know how to kill this job? This is on windows 2003 server

Have you tried "stop job" from the director? If this hasn't helped, then the job is in a waiting state where it isn't able to respond to stop requests, which would be in the database in this case. Can you have the Oracle DBA check the locks and clear them, that will most likely also cause your hanging job to stop.

Or have the DBA kill the SID. That's usually the best way to clear any locks.
