Oracle Change Data Capture

Hi All
One of the sources we are working on is a Oracle Database. we don't have any date columns in the table we can relay on to get the incremental data.
We are down with two options in a scenario like this
1) do a compare of the source to the target to get the Insert Update Delete. The volumes being terribly large this doesn't look good nor it will work in a few months down the line
2) I heard there is a stage called Oracle Change Data Capture which will work on Redo Logs in the Oracle Database and will give you a incremental load from the database.

Did anyone work on this Oracle Change Data Capture Stage? If yes can you kindly give a brief on how this stage works.
