user defined stage

Probably. A half-way decent trainer, for example.

What don't you understand about what's in the manual? For that matter, which of the three different kinds of user-defined stages did you have in mind? Or do you want to create a brand-new plug-in stage that does not yet exist anywhere in the product?

It would help if you stated what you were thinking about creating, what functionality you needed that wasn't already available.
