Can n't Read data from ORCL EE Stage with ENV parms or

Can n't Read data from ORCL EE Stage with ENV parms or

trying to setup the Oracle EE stage.

I can view data from ORCL stage with out ENV parameter or password that contains $.

i have also changed the ENV parameter DS_ENABLE_RESERVED_CHAR_CONVERT to true also.do i need to stop the DataStage after this parameter is set it true ? .anything else i need to do ?

here is the error message when my db password contains.
Incorrect dboption list; it failed on Expected "," or "}", got: "$", line 1.

So... the parameter name has $ or the parameter value does? Also, what exact 7.x version?

when I enter my env param in stage like #$oracle_user# in DBcontions option or my ORACLE USER password value contains $ sign like (Craig$).

How does it help to simply repeat your original post? :?

If you found that environment variable in the docs, then you should have also seen that it only applies to # and $ characters in column names so it won't help you here.

Known issue. Searching the forums for your error message would have revealed that. Here is the post that has the eCase number you'll need to request the patch that fixes this problem. That and you'll need to put the password in single quotes.

FYI - I did an Exact Search for Incorrect dboption list; it failed on Expected "," or "}", got: "$", line 1. to turn it up.
