working with modify stage

i am trying to create sample job with modify stage. i have not used modify stage before. i have a rowgenerator, 2 modify stages and a sequential file as an output. after i generated columns in the rowgenerator it is connected to modify stage and i keep some columns and adding specifications in the stage properties. The new specifications that i added are not seen on the output side of the stage. Can some please tell me the reason.

New specifications(columns) won't appear automatically. You need to type the metadata manually.

If you have a lot of columns, from the Input/Columns tab, you could save the Table Specification by clicking on the Save button. Just Load it on the Output/Columns tab. Much faster than typing.
