Pivot-PX

Hi

I tried to use PivotPX .My job looks as below

File->Pivot->output File

but when I connect pivot to output it gives an error

(40822):The source stage cannot have output link

Please be more exact about which stage types you have used in your design. We need to be precise about which particular "source stage" can not have an output link.

Using version 7.5.1A on Linux the following job design does not generate the error you report.

SequentialFile -----> Pivot -----> SequentialFile

Thanks so much for your reply.I used

Seq file->pivot->seq file

Also tried usingDataset,ODBC.

When I connect Pivot to any of the output stages, I get the error.

Possibly your Pivot stage is not properly installed or registered. I am not seeing the same issue. You are, I trust, using the parallel Pivot stage, not the server job Pivot stage?

What exact version of DataStage are you using, and on what platform?

I am using v7.5.1.I think its not properly installed.

Why do you think that?

It may be only the Pivot stage that needs to be re-installed or re-registered. The first of these is accomplished on the server using DataStage Package Installer, the second using the Manager client.
