protected project

Post by attu »

User sam -- able to access dev project -- primary group dstage , dstage added in .developer.adm

User sam -- not able to access prod project (Protected)-- primary group staff,
dstage added in .developer.adm.

What is the purpose of protected project? Does dstage have to be Sam's primary group if he wants to access the prod project ?

Thanks

Clicking on Help would have answered this question. A protected project is protected mainly from, you guessed it, developers!

There's another DataStage role (Production Manager) which is the only one that can load objects into a protected project.
