Unable To connect to Host

Hi All,

I am not able to login to datastage designer. When I give the required Id and password, it shows an error " Failed to connect to Host. The Connection has timed out(81015)". Please let me know if someone has faced similar kind of issue and also the reason's and resolution for the same. Thanks in advance.

Surprisingly enough, a search for "The Connection has timed out(81015)" resulted in 9 distinct threads being returned. So to answer your question, yes, several people have had the same problem before.

Are you able to connect to this host from a different machine?

Are you able to ping to this machine?
If not, does your host file have an entry for this?

Is this a new server install? Is this your first time connecting to this server from your PC? Is this a new client install?
