How to install Datastage Command Stage Plugin

How to Install and get started with Command Stage Plugin. Please share your experience with the command stage, thanks in advance

Assuming that it's not already installed (as most administrators seem to install all plug-ins these days) use the Package Installer (from the Start menu on the server) to install it. You will find a folder called DataStage Packages on your Information Server installation media (CD/DVD).

Dumb question. What is the command stage? I haven't heard of that before....

Windows only stage. I think Ernie Ostic explained the history behind the stage, a search should turn his post up.

... hence my reference to "the Start menu on the server".
