:? Isn't it just a matter of going into Services from the Control Panel, finding the service in question and clicking on 'Stop'?

DataStage creates an applet in the Control Panel {I can't recall what it is called, probably DataStage} which lets you do this.

There are three DataStage services that you may (will) need to stop.
  • DataStage Resource service ("universe" service)

    DataStage Telnet service

    DSRPC service
