Error on dual installation(DS 7.5.1 & 8.0V) with dshome

Post by Simar »

Hi,

I have two versions of DS(7.5.1 & 8.0.1) installed on our unix server.

They are installed at different paths but when i am trying to run a job with dsjob command it is still pointing to the older version projects(7.5.1).

When i do dsjob -lprojects it lists down all the projects which are existing on DS 7.5.1 older verison which was installed earlier.

Do we have any setting which we need to change for this as dshome is pointing to dshome8 directory which is home for DS8.0.1.

Please help what settings should be chnaged to make this happen.

Thanks...!

Since you must nominate the project in which to run a job, the question should be moot. For the -lprojects option, try setting the DSHOME environment variable.

I got question here "What is shows under .dshome?"
Or "is there exists two different files for two different version?" :?:

Hi,

In .dshome it was earlier pointing to Ds 7.5.1 home, then i pointed it to Ds 8.0.1 and again the answer was same.

I restarted the DS 8.0.1 server again..... but again the result was same....

Thanks...!

Did you run following commands

$DSHOME/bin/uv -admin -stop
$DSHOME/bin/uv -admin -start

If so execute
"set" command -- and check what it shows for DSHOME???
