ODBC Connector & ODBC Enterprise Stage in 801

I need to connect to a SQL Server dB on a remote server in DS 801.
The ODBC connections have been setup and configured but have not been tested in DS Designer canvas yet.
To test these ODBC data connections. I need to know which stage to use. Do I ODBC connector stage OR ODBC Enterprise stage?

What exactly is the difference between
ODBC connector, ODBC Enterprise and ODBC Stage??
in 801.

The ODBC connector is one of several different ODBC stages that accesses external data sources in database management systems (DBMS). The ODBC connector does not support stored procedures.
Before you can use the ODBC connector in a job, you need to configure database drivers, driver managers, and data source names.

ODBC Enterprise stage, which is available only for parallel jobs.
ODBC stage, which is available only for server jobs.

The goofy part about 801's "ODBC Connectivity Guide" is it lists all
stages -
1. ODBC Connector
2. ODBC Enterprise
3. ODBC stage.
It no where mentions about which stage can be used in what engine.
