Decimal data type read

Post by shin0066 »

i just wondering - i have a dataset file with a decimal data type created as 11,2 as field length. In other job i am reading the same dataset file same column reading as 9,4 as data type lenth, will this give the same result?

source file 00000000099.00 (11,2)
read as 000000099.0000 (9,2)

Value will remain same or not in both fields length?

The point is, Shin0066, that you already have the data and the job design. So you can try it and let us know. We'd only be guessing - admittedly an educated guess in some cases - or would have to reproduce your work to answer your question - without being compensated for doing so.
