Load Vs Upsert in Oracle Enterprise Stage

Post by Suman »

Hi,
When I am using Load option in Oracle Enterprise Stage I am getting the below error:
The error is coming like this:
Table_OUTPUT_LDR,9: The system(sqlldr load/*****@cnotl CONTROL=ora.1221018.874080.9.ctl LOG=ora.1221018.874080.9.log BAD=ora.1221018.874080.9.log.bad SILENT=header PARFILE=ora.1221018.874080.9.par) failed; see the log file for the Oracle specific message.his;

With upsert this error is not coming.

Regards,
Suman

And what does the "ora.1221018.874080.9.log" log file contain?

How many times are you going to post this problem, Suman? :?

You probably have it but can't find it. Sometimes "find" doesn't locate files the way it should. I can't remember where those files are created, but would think somewhere in the Oracle directory tree. You will need to search around a bit - perhaps look for "ora*.log" to locate the correct directory.

There's been a couple of recent posts on the 'where' of these sqlldr files. I seem to recall them going into your scratch space unless a particular ORA environment variable is set - something like ORA_SQLLDR_FILE_LOC but I know that's not it. :?

Perhaps a search would turn it up unless someone recalls the answer.

It's in the scratch directory that is set in your configuration file.
Usually it's something like ../Ascential/DataStage/Scratch
