I'm wondering if anybody knows a way to improve the efficiency of Teradata MultiLoads in DataStage. I have found that jobs using the DataStage Multiload run twice as long as running the same Multiload code 'outside' of DataStage using shell scripts.
I've heard rumblings that this may be a 'bug' in 7.5 that is fixed in later releases.

Have you tried doing the load with the Teradata Enterprise stage instead? We have had much better luck (and performance) with that. We had a lot of problems with MultiLoad - including a limitation on the number of columns it would support.
We were doing simple loads, so switching to the Enterprise stage was simple. May not work depending on what you are doing with MultiLoad, but worth looking into...
Brad.
