Clear status file don't stop the job.
You have initialize the estatus of the job but it is already running, so you can't start it.
if you don't have permissions to kill the job, call to someone that can do it to stop the job.
Clear Status was not the right answer. Your message means the job is still running under the covers. Find someone who can kill it for you if you can't.

Durga, please start your own post so we can have all of the particulars of your version of this problem since I doubt it is exactly the same version, hardware, O/S, etc as this three year old post.
