I have set record performance data in a parallel job, and I am getting the following error:
Invalid value for option -f: Data/Performance/Performance/XXX.
I created a directory to record performance information, set the value for APT_PERFORMANCE_DATA parm and enabled the job monitoring in the director.
Is there anything else that has to be set to remove this error?

Is this the directory where you want the APT_PERFORMANCE_DATA to write the performance XML file. If yes I noticed that you are using Windows installation. Do you not have to use "\" in Windows in path. I think "/" is used in UNIX.
