Job aborting

Post by sendmk »

Hi,

I am working on DataStage 7.5.1A on grid.
I am running a job for th past 2 months which is runing fine in production but today it aborted with error message
"main_program: Unexpected termination by Unix signal 10(SIGBUS)"
"buffer(0),0: Error in writeBlock - could not write 131063"

This job has more stages and does have 4 to 5 lookups and a join and remove duplicate stage.

Any help is appreciated.

A file system size limitations perhaps? Search on keywords "Error in writeBlock "

Is it an intermittent error or will it occur every time you rerun the job. Also do a search on "Unexpected termination by Unix signal 10(SIGBUS)"
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

I agree with Dsguru2B, I must be something with memory. Do check the amount of free space available for processing(running the JOb).
