Hi
We do define a resource type "disk" with the location of datasets in the apt config file.
How is it different/same as the location which we mention in the individual dataset stages inside the job.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Sankar

did not exactly get your qusn
Resource disk is the place where you will see the Segment files (child files) of the datasets your job has generated.
Where as the Descriptor file (.ds file) will sit in the location(PATH) which you give in the filename.
Is there anything else you want to know??
Thanks
Sumeet

Re: did not exactly get your qusn
Can you please elaborate on what segment file has & what descriptor file has? How they are interlinked?sumeet wrote:Resource disk is the place where you will see the Segment files (child files) of the datasets your job has generated.

Descriptor file has just the pat information and the config information upon which the file is been created. The Data has the actual data content residing in the path given in Config file.videsh77 wrote: Can you please elaborate on what segment file has & what descriptor file has? How they are interlinked?
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'
