How it become read only

Hi,
Some jobs means one folder of jobs are changed as readonly and we now we are not able to change and compile that jobs. pls help me how it happened lik this is there any chance while exporting and importing is there any chance,
Environment is we are changeing code @ offshore and import to preprod environment in that process it happened like that for only one folder of jobs , and nothing protected project all are normal projects only.

any body has idea about like this type of situvations pls share with me

If the category was imported using Version Control then it is possible that the person doing the import, marked them as read only. You can re-import the jobs and this time make it writable.

Use a text editor to check the file you imported. You should find many references to a ReadOnly property, if they sent it to you with that option enabled it will be set to a 1. If that's the case, you would need to change that attribute to a 0 then reimport.
