Datastage Installation

Hi

Just doing the understanding with system architecture standpoint that
can Datastage be installed on NFS or JFS file system?
If you need any other info to get this point pls let me know.

You can install on JFS (DataStage won't know the difference). I don't think you can install on an NFS mounted drive; and even if you could it isn't a good idea to do so.

some points - if NFS drive is down the what? no access to DS.
While accessing the UV repository it will take more time to access the Engine and tables.

The install process detects and prevents any attempt to install on a symbolic link. While I can't verify this at the moment, I suspect something of the sort might also apply to NFS-mounted file systems.
